On PC, press on ‘File’ at the upper top corner of the window, and then press on ‘Open Data Folder’. In that folder you may find any log you journaled for each day of activity.

At the bottom left corner of the screen, find the ‘Account History’ section and right-click on the space. Press either ‘Save as Report’ or ‘Save as Detailed Report’ to download the corresponding file. Please note that you can indicate time windows, by choosing ‘Custom Period’, before extracting the report.

  1. Open your MT4/MT5 platform.
  2. Click “Tools”.
  3. Click “Options”.
  4. On the “Server “tab, click “Change”.
  5. Type your current master password.
  6. Click “Change investor (read-only) password”.
  7. Type the new investor password & confirm.

By Pressing right-click on a Chart Window, you will find the ‘One Click Trading’ button, which you can toggle.

You can add a Indicator on a Chart Window by pressing ‘Insert’ on the upper left corner, hover over the ‘Indicators’ list, and choose from the variety of indicators offered.

In order for your EAs to trade for you, your machine must be running with your MetaTrader terminal open. Closing your terminal will cause your EAs to stop trading. Alternatively, you may use a VPS Service to host an EA for you.

Download your EA, and paste it into the ‘Data Folder/Experts/Advisors’. You can access it by going to ‘File’ in the upper left corner and then clicking on the ‘Open Data Folder’. Restart your MetaTrader 4 for your changes to take effect.

Standard accounts don’t have any suffixes next to the symbol names, however some symbols have its corresponding suffixes which are consistent with your account type.

In the ‘Trade’ window in the bottom left corner of your terminal, right click on an open position and in the ‘Trailing stop’ section, choose one of the levels given, or enter custom points in your Trailing Stop level.

By right clicking on the ‘Trade Section’, select an open position, right click and press on ‘Modify or Delete Order’.

By right clicking on the ‘Trade Section’, press on ‘New Order’. In the opened window, hover to the Execution Types and select ‘Pending Order’. After your fill your desired volume price, press ‘Place’ to confirm.

Depending on when you want to close a position, you can hover over the ‘x’ button on the right under the ‘Profit’ section of the ‘Trade’ window, or right-click and press the ‘Close position’ button. Alternatively, you can modify the position by right-clicking on a open position, and configurating the ‘Stop Loss’ or ‘Take Profit’ sections.

You can place a new order in the MT4 terminal by multiple ways:

  1. Click on the ‘New Order’ button on the toolbar
  1. Select ‘New Order’ from the ‘Tools’ drop-down menu
  1. Press F9
  1. Right-click an instrument in the ‘Market Watch’ window and select ‘New Order’
  1. Double-click an instrument in the ‘Market Watch’ window
  1. Enable one-click trading

Proceeding with any of the above options will open up the ‘Order’ window.

You will be able to modify the parameters according to your position you want to open.  The ‘Symbol’ field allows you to change the instrument and the ‘Volume’ field allows you to set the size of the trade (lot). *1 Lot = 100,000 units for FX.

Click on ‘Buy’ to open a long position at the current ask price or ‘Sell’ to open a short position at the current bid price.

You can also set stop-loss and take-profit levels.

By right-clicking on a Chart Window, press ‘Properties’. On the new window, in the ‘Common’ section, tick the ‘Show Ask line’ and press ‘OK’ to confirm.

Press right-click on the Market Watch and tick the ‘Spread option’.

The Market Watch is a great tool to have a glance at the Market. Apart from pricing, the client has to see the contract specifications, tick charts and the depth of market.  A option to include other data is also offered, by pressing right-click and hovering over the last sections, like ‘High/Low’.

Open the “Market Watch” window from the top menu bar and right click-> select the symbols -> choose the instruments that you want to trade on from the table -> select the “Show” option. Following this, close the “Market Watch” window, right-click on it once again and select “Show All”.

Kindly note that the greyed-out symbols are used by the trading platform to calculate oil prices. To remove the greyed-out symbols from your “Market Watch” window, simply right-click them and select the “Hide” option.

Trading instruments with a unique suffix may be available according to your account type. In order to find the correct instrument according to your account type, please see the examples below:

All-in-One account: instruments are displayed in their standard format (without a suffix), such as EURUSD, XAUUSD

RAW account: instruments are displayed with a ‘r’ suffix, such as EURUSDr, XAUUSDr

ELITE account: instruments are displayed with a ‘e’ suffix, such as EURUSDe, XAUUSDe

You can find GemForex by pressing on the ‘File’ -> Open an Account and search for GemForex. Find and click the correspondent GemForex server address that you received in your email, and proceed with the login.

  1. On your Desktop terminal, go to ‘Tools’ from the top bar menu on the MT4 terminal.
  1. Select ‘Options’.
  1. Select ‘Server’.
  1. In the ‘Password’ field, you can type a password you prefer and click ‘Change’ to complete the change of password.

Mobile app – Android

  1. Tap the Menu at the top left corner.
  1. Select ‘Manage accounts’.
  1. If you have multiple accounts, choose the account you wish to change the password.
  1. Select ‘Change Password’ from the top right dotted field.
  1. Enter your new password.

Mobile app – iOS

  1. Tap on ‘Settings’ at the bottom right corner.
  1. If you have multiple accounts, choose the account you wish to change the password.
  1. Tap the 3 vertical dots on the account you want to change password.
  1. Tap ‘Change Password’ and then ‘Change Master Password’.
  1. Enter your new password.](

Once logged, go to the upper left corner and press ‘Tools’ and then ‘Options’. In the opened window, under the ‘Server’ tab, select ‘Change Password’. Enter the new password and press ‘OK’ to confirm.

You will need your account number and password in order to log in to your MT4 trading account. Account credentials were sent to you when you first opened your account.

Once you have your account number and password, simply install the MT4 platform on your PC and select ‘File’ then ‘Log in to Trade Account’. A login box will then appear in which you will be able to enter your account number, password and select the relevant server.

When typing your password, you should ensure that it is entered correctly.

You will see your connection status update in the bottom right-hand corner of the platform. If the connection status shows ‘invalid account’, make sure your password was entered correctly. If it shows ‘no connection’, double-check the server name.
